26 stations between Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and Kalyan will have improved and upgraded stations. The Railways have approved a plan of Rs 4.64 crore to upgrade and improve passenger facilities at all the 26 stations.

Top officials say that revamp will make the stations more commuter-friendly although some stations have been revamped earlier but the work has been unapprovable.

The work to improve and have better quality flooring, pure drinking water, improved level of lights at station, roofs over platforms and better toilets will began by January end or February and will most likely end before monsoon.
